Charity Food Fair - Blind Center ...

Sepagi tu tadi, kami duai menyanak tumu dani laban ke enggau orang begau bejual barang aba Bukit Lima Blind Center. BLBC tu endang setiap taun ngatur food fair ujung bulan Oktober lalu ulih sida lebih kurang RM300k kini, ketegal orang2 ke organize tu endang orang2 ke jutawan ditu. Rindu ngah enggau meda pengerami orang bala mayoh.

Macam-macam barang ke dijual orang, bala penghuni Blind Center berjual ke bakul-bakul wie sida, lalu bala ke bukai mayoh nyual pemakai; enti enda salah ingat aku bisi 20 iti stal kini. Rega barang ke dijual belaboh ari RM1.00 ngagai RM200.00; terpulai ngagai bala pembeli nie ke deka sida. Barang ke selalu 'famous' endal ianya siti pau janik sida dijual beribu - so keni ka ngelaban nya!? :D Tang nya endang jalai kena sida meri aja, dagih ke aku!

This morning was spent at the Bukit Lima Blind Center Open House; its an annual fundraising event of food sales towards for this private Blind Center. Their food fair is very successful and they earn about RM300k for this annually. The committee members are also 'big shot' and contribute lots to this center.

All sorts of food are sold; dried, cooked, raw, etc and the prices ranged from RM1.00 (kompia with meat) to RM200.00 (rotan baskets made by the inmates). Their products is always a sold out. The famous item for sale here is the meaty bun which sold for thousands each - unbeatable price! :D

Kami sebuat ke datai jam 7:30am aba Center nyaga stal BI.

Taun tu, aku ngawa begulai enggau Bala Indu Methodist SIAC muka stal. Ka enda, enggai nyadi laban sida keran mai aku kemari. Tang sigi enda dalam atur nulong ditu. Beberapa taun dulu suba, selalu SIDS Sibu mega bisi enggau mantu. Tang nya meh, pengawa tu selalu berserak antara BI, SIDS & BI Katolik - kaban lebih kurang sama. Nya alai, SIDS mutus ke enda enggau belaboh ari beberapa taun ke udah.

Aku, Pn. Tarusa, Pn. Rosalind, Pn. Maggie & Pn. Rose ke nyaga stal sepagi nya.

Utai ke dijual BI ianya beras aja. Nya dibai dijual sida, nya meh iya. Mayoh bala nanya ke pansuh taun tu. Nadai kami sebuat tu ngaga. Bala ke ditu kerja magang semina siko ke enda, lalu iya enda ulih ngerja utai nya kediri. Nya alai, nyangka bisi kurang meh stal ke sekali tu.

Bala SIDS ke nyadi kaban BI Katolik ke bejual pagi nya.

Angry Burger ke dijual sida; manah endal! Tu sida baru datai bepanok ke burger. Naka meh pengelaku meh burger sida tu.

Bala pengatur berjalai nyenguk setiap stal.

DAP pen bisi nulong, lalu YB Wong Ho Leng empu nyaga stal. Lelak aku sepagi-pagi ninga sida rauk-rauk ngagau ke orang meli 'Ho Leng Pau'! Stal ke sepiak sida pen rauk-rauk nyual ai distil! Nya iya!! Pedis pala aku!!


Clarence Ting, MD Tanahmas Hotel ke mega kaban, nyenguk stal, nama agi lalu diasoh meli berau 2 kambut!! Iya mega bejanji meli semua beras enti maya udah tutup agi bisi laluh! Puji Tuhan serta terima kasih Clarence!! Aku nuh pulai tumu, enda nemu keni ke penuju barang. Tang maya aku din; bisi ngah 5 iti kambut ie 1 gantang sekambut empai ambis!

Cuti Cuti Indonesia .... Bali

Ujung minggu empai lama tu tadi, kami duai menyanak bercuti-cuti Indonesia - 4 hari 3 malam! Rindu amat serta tau ngah endor bejalai menoa Bali tu. Tang enti baka aku ke enda tentu rindu berjemi di pantai - anang kiroh lama kin! Bujik di menoa enda nyadi JUTAWAN, din kami duai nyadi JUTAWAN selama 4 hari!!

Seminggu sebedau nurun, enda mukai gempabumi skala 6 di Bali ngah! Puas meda berita di tv ngandal ke berita pasal Bali. Nurun tauka ka enda? Besampi aja meh minta pengibun Allah Taalah maya ke din. Puji Tuhan, semua mujur; menoa din pen nadai ngawa!

Last weekend, Val and I spent a wonderful relaxing long weekend in Bali, Indonesia. It was a holiday filled with memories, adventures, and of course food! We managed to explore quite a bit of the countryside and the town. It was a difficult decision for me, whether to proceed with the holiday or not, in view that a week before we were to depart, Bali was hit by an earthquake! Praise the Lord, our journey was safe and we had a wonderful time.

Makai endang enda tau enda nguji pemakai Baliness - aku enda ingat ngambi gambar ikan tunu - tau ngah tang enda tek nyamai endal. Anak laban ke rindu ke Hard Rock Cafe lalu mai makai din. Nama agi, lalu makai tengahari dia meh kami sebuat!


Food has always been a big factor in all our travels and this one was no less! We actually tried Baliness food on our first day. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures in the excitement of trying the bbq fish, etc.. On the 2nd day it was lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, and it was Val's first lunch there and her first to the shop also!! :D Yes, I have been crazy about getting Hard Rock (original ;) ) t-shirts from the 1990s and have a wide collection. The food was great, and so was the price!!

Nya iya regang2 aba pantai! Pantai sida amat chukup bersi serta pasir burak endal. Endor kami duai tu endang mayoh bala orang Australia, laban sida rindu 'surfing' serta berjemi!

Selemai kami makai, lalu di pelagu ke orang penebah muzik! Amat boleh tahan ngah sida tu berlagu, merdu suara; taja gamal sida nadai endal. 'apa permintaan, bu?' ko! :D
We were serenaded by these wonderful singers while enjoying our dinner! Wonderful singers!

Bali tu enti ka cuti-cuti ke pandak serta kira ke mudah; tau dilawak. Bali is indeed a beautiful place for a short vacation, and for those that love to be in water - its paradise! :D

Sarawak - My Home :D

I have enjoyed several blogs from USA, Oman, Australia, etc and Kelly's Korner is one of those that I have enjoyed reading for a couple of years. This week she is doing Show Us Your Life - International Day and I felt that I should contribute to this!

How best to describe and showcase where I come from?

I suddenly thought of this video made by Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) and its quite appropriate for me to write about them also, as they have been awarded me the Sarawak Convention Bureau International Scholarship 2011 for next year's International conference in South Korea! Yeah!! Thanks SCB!!

The video showcase part of the tribe & culture in Sarawak. I am actually lost for words to describe the beauty of this beautiful country of mine! :) Hope that the video have showcase a part of the beauty of Sarawak.

I have travelled through North America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and of course Asia ... and nothing beats exotically beautiful Sarawak.
