Setaun udah berlalu ...

Enda berasai, setaun berlalu;
Enda berasai, pengarap, pengerindu, penyayau bertapak tegap;
Enda berasai, pengidup mansang!

Taun tu nyangka nuh lubah nulis alam blog tu; laban ke nuh ngasai ke pejalai pengidup enggau pengawa nuka sama setiap hari. Taja pia, endang bisi ngah pemansang, pengaga, pengerindu, penyaum ... ke lain nyadi! Nya alai aku semina nulis serta berkongsi ke berita ke ulih nyadi ke pengingat aku ke taun-taun siti.

Taun tu kami ngintu hari pengada anak ke disayau di rumah aja. Sembahyang serta makai enggau diri sebilik aja (nya pen enda semua dikagau; sigi bisi ringat sekeda - minta ampun auk! ).

sedap amat serta 1/3 digalau iya ke bala kawan di sekul ke hari siti.

Susah endal ngah mikir ke nama utai ke diberi; bala anak laban nuh udah besai udu ka milih utai ke diri empu. Ngena idea baru - meri 'gift certificate' 4 iti ke meli utai ke dikerindu ke iya empu. 1. Cert 1 - meli accessory ke dikerindu. Kemari iya minta accessory nya ditukar ke kasut flat warna putih.
2. Cert 2 - lunch date enggau mummy (sorry ... enggau orang bukai empai diasoh!!), diatu nganti iya milih hari enggau endor aja.
3. Cert 3 & 4 - cuti Autumn Sonata & duit kena meli utai din ila! :D

Selamat Hari Jadi, anak ke disayau amat. Besampi ke Allah Taalah ngibun serta merkat deh selalu.

Indeed a year had gone by, filled with memories; and another year of adding to these memories continues.

Valerie celebrated her birthday in January. We had a quiet family celebration/prayer at home and just had a wonderful time of fellowship. She chose a chocolate cheese cake from Secret Recipe (her desired choice was not available). I could not figure out what to get her, and so decided to give her personalized gift certificates of an accessory of choice (she chose to buy a flat white shoe!), a lunch date with mummy with her choice of venue & menu, and an Autumn Sonata holiday plus shopping money! Yes, she's officially a TEENAGER! Lord, please help me to be a good mother! Lord be her guiding light!

December News ...

Firstly, wishing all of you a Happy New Year!! May the festive season & new year bring lots of joy, peace & love for all of you!

Keterubah iya meri Selamat Taun Baru ngagai semua bala kaban & pembaca blog aku tu; besampi ke Allah Taalah selalu meri berkat & pengasih ke semua kitai.

Bulan Disember tu kemari mayoh endal pengawa ke dikerja, nya meh nuh enda tentu bisi hari nulis blog. Kami sebilik taun tu sempat ngintu Krismas begulai di Kuala Lumpur; terima kasih ke berkat Allah Taalah ke ulih ngasoh tu nyadi. Bulan tu tadi, kami mega berasai ngaga amat ati ketegal anak menyadi aku ke tuai, Braxton, udah tembu pelajar Saujana Muda iya ari Lim Kok Wing University; lalu convocation iya di-intu kena 17 Disember tu kemari.

December had been such an eventful month with so many blessings/happenings to the family. We're celebrating Christmas together this year, its something that we try to do more often than Gawai (due to varying school schedule, its harder to arrange) ... all 13 of us!

I felt so overwhelm and heart warming and emotional seeing the eldest nephew graduate with his Bachelor! Wow, it felt only like yesterday that I was struggling with aunty-hood haha yes!! I had to do everything from changing diapers, feeding, bathing in his first 2 days (his mom was feeling weak) and my brother and I (and my best friend, Jennifer), were doing most of the things including cooking!! Praise the Lord we're still 'healthy' and its more due to Jennifer's cooking and her mother's advises! haha I might add, I did a GREAT job! See how he has grown. The whole family (minus his parents who had flight scheduling problem and couldn't fly into Kuala Lumpur in time) were there to celebrate with him. He earned his Bachelor of Business (Honors) in Entrepreneurship and was amazingly also awarded the Industrial Excellence Award! Congratulations darling!!

Kami sebilik mega sempat kemisi ke luar negara, taja enda jauh - semina ke Macau. Tang pejalai nya chukup manah serta ngerindang ati. Ketegal mai apai & indai bejalai, enda tentu bendal kami sebuat raun - enda tan bejalai! Tang sehari-hari, endang bejalai berlubah-lubah - ngetu ngirup ke mayoh agi! :D Kami din 4 hari aja.

We also holiday in Macau for 4 days; and it was a wonderful trip with the family (partly) and really enjoyed the time very much. It was a relaxing trip with lots of walking as well as lots of resting time at the cafe'!! (Unable to upload pictures into here).

Blessings ...

There's been so many blessings in the last weeks. Praise the Lord for his blessings abundance and love!

These two events happened on the same day, of all days ... it must be on the 17.11.2011!! I had been informed a month ago that I was one of 5 successful applicants for the Sarawak Convention Bureau International Scholarship to attend an international conference; and was awaiting for the official award ceremony. Then they choose the exact date that the UPSR (lower primary school) examination results were released! It did took me a few minutes to ponder on which to go to; in view that one was in Kuching. If in same city/town; it would have make things easier to attend both! Anyway, hands down it was the my daughter's event! I am so proud of you my darling daughter!

Yes, I am attending the Water Congress 2012 in Seoul, Korea and thanks to Sarawak Convention Bureau for this opportunity! Its a partial scholarship and I am blessed that my office had agreed to take up the balance of the course. So, I will get to promote goodwill etc for both - not that I could split either! Am I excited about going to Korea? Not really as I've been there many times! Am I excited about attending the Congress ... for sure! It's my first Congress.

Unfortunately, I am not presenting a paper at the Congress; otherwise, I really could put Sarawak Convention Bureau on the map of the happenings! That's part of SCB expectations of its recipient ie promote them! :) Maybe, I will do that at my other paper presentation gig ;)

My darling girl get her moment also in the newspaper! Thanks to reporter Watt for doing the wonderful article! So she's now relaxing at home, AND doing her homework!! No, I am not 'torturing' her with homework :D but we went to register at her school next year, and she was given about 100 pages of work to complete during the holidays! Yes, 100 pages of homework/exercises covering English, Mathematics, Bahasa Malaysia, Science, Geography, History, Civic! So those exercises/texts that we bought earlier are becoming handy! So this sort of keeps her occupied for most of the days!

BTW she did get an iPOD, a holiday in Macau & Singapore (coming soon), and some spending money to buy what her heart desires .. as her present for the 5As. Thanks to aunties/uncles also for their angpows (these are giving her big smiles as it would mean she get extas to spend on whatever she wishes).

Congratulation my darling daugther ...

On Thursday 17.11.2011, I think I was more anxious and nervous than my daughter awaiting for her UPSR result ie Primary 6 public examination result! I was one of the many anxious parents looting around the school compound by 9:30am and the result was only available after 10am!!


Luckily, with a recognizable face ;) , the security guard lady let me inside the compound to anxiously wait for the posting of the result or my daughter to come down from class with her result slip! That 30mins or so felt like hours!! Finally, at about 10am, teacher Shadon came down from the staff room. Teacher Shadon is one of school's teachers and a blog reader! I was given a sneak peak at the result slip for the Board - Thank you!

It was only about 10:20am when Val came out excitedly from her class to show me her result slip! I am so proud of her accomplishment and its sweater as only 4 students managed to get full As from the Bahasa Malaysia medium (ie about 75 students) and they have an 80% passess!

Cuti Cuti Indonesia .... Bali

Ujung minggu empai lama tu tadi, kami duai menyanak bercuti-cuti Indonesia - 4 hari 3 malam! Rindu amat serta tau ngah endor bejalai menoa Bali tu. Tang enti baka aku ke enda tentu rindu berjemi di pantai - anang kiroh lama kin! Bujik di menoa enda nyadi JUTAWAN, din kami duai nyadi JUTAWAN selama 4 hari!!

Seminggu sebedau nurun, enda mukai gempabumi skala 6 di Bali ngah! Puas meda berita di tv ngandal ke berita pasal Bali. Nurun tauka ka enda? Besampi aja meh minta pengibun Allah Taalah maya ke din. Puji Tuhan, semua mujur; menoa din pen nadai ngawa!

Last weekend, Val and I spent a wonderful relaxing long weekend in Bali, Indonesia. It was a holiday filled with memories, adventures, and of course food! We managed to explore quite a bit of the countryside and the town. It was a difficult decision for me, whether to proceed with the holiday or not, in view that a week before we were to depart, Bali was hit by an earthquake! Praise the Lord, our journey was safe and we had a wonderful time.

Food has always been a big factor in all our travels and this one was no less! We actually tried Baliness food on our first day. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures in the excitement of trying the bbq fish, etc.. On the 2nd day it was lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, and it was Val's first lunch there and her first to the shop also!! :D Yes, I have been crazy about getting Hard Rock (original ;) ) t-shirts from the 1990s and have a wide collection. The food was great, and so was the price!!

Bali tu enti ka cuti-cuti ke pandak serta kira ke mudah; tau dilawak. Bali is indeed a beautiful place for a short vacation, and for those that love to be in water - its paradise! :D

Bup ...

Macha bup tu endang siti hobi tauka pengawa ke paling dikerindu ke aku. Aku ulih duduk sehari-hari macha bup. Bup ke dibaca aku mayoh macham - ke ditulis sida Jeffry Archer, Danielle Steel, Judith McNaught, etc etc serta mega enda ditinggal ka, Harlequin/Mills&Boons! Maya agi sekula suba, minat tu enda udah bisi. Aku jarang endal bejalai enda bebai bup; lalu diatu nyamai endal ngah bisi bup online ke ulih dibaca!

Minat aku tu dipeda baka ke mega siti ari minat endu dara mit aku. Kami dua iya ulih alam kedai bup berjam ngati ke diri; ngiga utai ke dikerindu ke diri. Lalu mega enda tau enda mai siti bup siko pansut! Engku selalu mayoh agi! Enggau anak, selalu diasoh aku milih ari ke dibai iya, antara ke beberapa ke dibai iya. Laban ngalau dibeli dudi ila ko aku. Ukai nya mayoh series bup anak mit. Tang anak aku tu lalu enda minat macha bup series sida Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, etc ke diminat aku suba. Engka iya empai ka macha kini; laban ke nuh bedujung bup tu dirumah! :)

Minggu nyin kemari maya tua iya ke kedai bup, tu meh bup ke dipilih iya ....

Auk ... ka belaboh macha bup pom 1 ko iya! Pelik anak aku tu! Setiap lemai meh iya ke macha bup iya nya serta nguji ngaga latihan.

Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) ...

Puji Tuhan, mingg tu udah lepas; serta pereksa UPSR pen udah tembu. Tiga (3) hari iya ngambi pereksa; lalu setiap hari iya enda bersedia. Taja hari ke terubah, tudah nuh bisi regah enggau batuk. Nyangka nuh kelalu 'excited' kini.

Mata pelajaran ke diambi iya endang lima (5) iti aja meh; biasa baka ngeh orang. Terima kasih ke bala pengajar ke udah meri iya tunjuk ajar ke manah.

Pengudah tembu pereksa hari nya; iya lalu mai aku nurun ngerami diri udah tembu. Kini dibai iya? Iya ka makai steak ko iya; tang nie meh ulih nama jam semina 4:30pm. Ka ngah tudah diasoh milih endor bukai; lalu mai ngagai McD iya! Nama agi, lalu ngagau ke pemakai ke dikerindu iya meh. Maya nya, kami duai mega bisi mai anak petunggal aku ke kerja semak McD; bersulu meh kami tiga!

This week was examination time , that is, the UPSR which was carried out in 3 days. My daughter was one of the many thousands of students in Malaysia taking the test. Her assessment was that it was 'easy' and she's very pleased with her performance. As I always mentioned to her; we're not competing with the other students, only competing with self to obtain the best grades possible.

She took English, Bahasa Malaysia - Written & Comprehension, Modern Mathematics, and Science; plus an Aptitude Test. We're wait for October or early November for the result. Praying for the best!

On her last day of examination, she finished at 4:00 pm and wanted to go out for a celebratory snack. So off we go to our family's favourite restaurant - McD! We also invited my young nephew who worked just near the McD to join us. It was a nice relaxing fellowship with Double Cheese, McNuggets, Fries, Drinks, Apple Pie, Ice-creams, and McFlurry.

Thank you Lord for guiding and protecting her during this period.

Lunch ....

Friday is the day in indulge in eating out for lunch due to the long break. Yours truly and my darling girl decided to stop at our favourite eating house for a simple lunch. She was craving for salad cuttlefish which is just fried cuttlefish spread with mayonaise! We had the pleasure of fellowship with my cousin, Martha (did not snap her picture), and nephew Lineker!


Tengahari tu tadi, indu dara aku tetenguk ka makai sotong salad, nya alai tua lalu ngelawa kedai makai ke dikerindu kami sebilik. Rindu meh iya belauk sotong goreng digulai mayonaise. Kami duai maya berpusin alam kereta terpeda ke anak petunggal aku Lineker, lalu terus mai iya bersulu makai; lalu mega petungal aku Martha. Nama agi rindu-rindu meh kami ber-empat bersulu.

Lauk kami sebuat, sotong salad, manok plum sos, taugeh goreng ikan masin & sup sayur champur. Sedapppp!

Our simple lunch dishes of cuttlefish salad, plum sauce chicken, fried bean sprout with salted fish, and mixed vegetable soup. It was good and very filling!

Activities for August ...

Bulan Ogos tu, tak asai ke lelak isi laban ke mayoh endal pengawa & pengerami ke dilawah, nyengkaum ke diri nurun gawa. Pejalai ari Sibu ke Miri ke Bintulu ke Kuching, lalu penudi iya aku ke Kota Kinabalu. Taja pen lelak, pengerindu ati amat di asai ketegal ke betemu enggau bala kaban serta diri sebilik.


August had been a month of activities! I had been flying around from Sibu to Miri to Bintulu to Kuching, and finally to Kota Kinabalu; all in the span of about 2 weeks. Albeit all the running around, I had a wonderful time of fellowship with the Sarakup ladies, church members, and families! Such precious moments!

Ketegal Temenggong Jenny & Pemanca Mary meh aku berkelut ke Miri, demi kaban ... semalam aja aku din. Taja pia, sempat meh aku betemu enggau endu tanpun puji Tina ari KL! Rindu amat ngah begulai enggau sida - sigi enda ngetu 'ngering' ke tubuh enggau pemakai! lol

Out of friendship for three (3) wonderful ladies - Temenggong Jenny, Pemanca Mary & Beautiful Tina - I make that overnight trip to attend the wonderfully organized dinner! Time with the ladies were filled with laughter and food! I think I gained 1kg in 1/2 morning with them!!
If not for them, I would not have make the journey; as I had to do a medical procedure the following Tuesday and had to check-in to the hospital by Monday early morning! Praise the Lord, the procedure went well (although I was confused for a week, thereafter; and kept on booking meetings for the same date!!), and the test result was great too!

Minggu tu kemari aku enggau bala sebilik ari Kanowit, Sibu enggau KL berkumpul di Kota Kinabalu ketegal kahwin betunggal laki aku ke biak, Kaynee William. Tahniah ke seduai melaki bini serta selamat niri ke rumah tangga. Sekeda bala ngena darat serta keda ngena sayap! Aku laban ke enda tan dreba nuka 2 hari; sigi madah ke diri 'bersayap'! Nya pen susah amat ngah ngiga penuduk ketegal ke berebut enggau orang ke pulai Raya! Nasib ngah bulih penuduk kena 26/8. Maya din sempat ngah belalai-lalai ngerapas ngiga utai ke nadai! ;)

Last weekend, the families from Kanowit, Sibu and KL all gathered in Kota Kinabalu for the wedding of my young cousin Kaynee William to a Kadazan lady, Natalie Nicol Nasir. Congratulation to both of them, and may their union be blessed always. About 40 family members converged, if the notice had been longer, I am sure more would have made the journey.

The wedding ceremonies were conducted in church and also in accordance to the Kadazan culture at the bride's village for 2 nights! So I asked, what happened to the Iban culture?

Tu udah jauh malam, bala nuh ragak agi. Bala betunggal & bala anak2 meh nya. Aku meh ke bulih bungai kahwin, laban munyi ko bala sida ka aku udah nya! hmmm kada meh nya ... laban bala ke dara bukai nuh berebut ka empu bungai!! Ketegal enggai 'alah' laban bala di Sabah, kami sebuat lalu bergempung ngaga band betaboh ngeyit serta siko di asoh ngajat! Bala ari Kanowit & Sibu lalu meri ngaga siti band, aku nyadi tukang nebah gerumong ketegal inie ke nemu nuh diasoh nebah tawak (laban tu dua iti alat ke pedis ditebah!). Nama deh, nyadi meh iya. Anak petugal aku, Lineker (ke megai botol arak) sigi landik! Enti aku enda nebah gerumong, sigi aku mantai ke kajat indu! haha Chelsea madah ke diri nemu kajat indu, tang meh enda angat ... nyangka nuh lemi tulang kini! hahaha

Late at night, the smiles get wider, the voices an octave louder, the faces redder ... here are the cousins and nephew/niece ... showing our merry faces! Yeah, I did get the bouquet special delivered to me but the other singles were also wanted it!!

We also managed to form an impromptu band and dance the kajat for the night to showcase the Iban culture! That was fun and surprisingly very well played, but I might be biased!

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon with a Methodist Medical Mission group from Semenanjung at my longhouse doing medical mission & children ministry. I only managed to take pictures of the youth with the group doing children ministry. It was just so lovely and interesting and the kids just loved it!! I heard also that the night session was also every well received. At night, there was medical talk and also medical care being carried out. Praise the Lord for bringing this wonderful group to our longhouse!

Yesterday was also the Hari Raya Adil Fitri, and a group of Sarakup ladies and families visited one of our member who is a Muslim. We had a wonderful fellowship with her and her family!

Kemari bala kami mega bisi nurun ngabang ngagai siko kaban Sarakup ke beragama Islam ianya Pn. Maria Taloh. Chukup rindu bala nguji pemakai ke dipanok iya, lebih agi sida kek kek ke digaga iya. Laban Pn Maria tu endang pandai bendal ngaga kuih kek!

Anak Enggau Orang Bepekit Ngaga Blog!

Lebih kurang dua minggu tu, anak aku enggau kawan iya Jewel ngagau ngaga blog iya laban ke deka enggau orang betanding alam Pertanding Educational Blogging Peringkat Kebangsaan 2011 ke belaboh 12 Mei ngagai 15 Julai 2011 tu kemari.

Skop, kategori enggau prais semua di padah, lalu anak aku tu bendar ka bulih iPad! Orang udah belaboh ngaga rekabentuk ari bulan Mei suba; tang iya baru ngaga 2 minggu! Pedis pala aku ngira rekabentuk iya tu.

Cikgu nulong ko kenu; tang meh nadai ngah aku meda? Kawan iya ngah nulong ko, bisi ubah mimit ngah peda aku ari segi kala! Aku tu nadai tentu diandal ke nulong, laban ke enda bagat nemu.

My girl and her friend decided to join an education blog design contest! It begun in May of this year and ended last week; but of course, my darling girl only started 3 weeks ago! Both of them have been working on it for about 5 days of about 3 hrs each day! I was supervising the last session and there were lots of giggling and so I had to tell to do certain things or add certain design! Girls!! Please drop by the website and give your comments here! If its under their age category, maybe there's a chance; but when I saw last year's winner! Those were so professionally done!

Kawan Di Rumah Panjai ...

Kami kemari bisi ke rumah panjai, lalu ngaga meh anak aku ketegal betemu enggau kawan-kawan mit iya. Sida iay bersulu di bilik, ngirup, makai kuih, etc sehari-hari. Datai aku ngalih hari, sempat ngah aku ngambi gambar sida tiga. Sama cantik, sama cute magang sida tu!!

Cerita bulan Mei ....

Bulan Mei tu kemari, kagau endal enggau pengawa Sarakup, kerja serta mega Makai Malam Gawai. Kadang-kadang terpikir mega namay kebuah ngagau diri sampai nadai tentu masa ke diri empu. Tang ke amat endal iya, ketegal ati rindu begulai enggau pagan diri, ati tepaut nulong pagan diri, ati ke rindu ngemansang ke pagan diri, serta ati ke deka nyerah diri.

May had been a very busy month with various activities arranged; and at times I wonder why I get involved in so many activities ... and so limited time for myself. At the end of it all, its the joy & pleasure of contributing to the women, community, and also for self satisfaction. I really enjoyed all these activities and I tried to instill the joy/pleasure of community service to my daughter. I pray that she loves it, too! I do take her to some of my activities and she does seem to like it.

Nemuai ngagai Rumah Sri Kenangan, Sibu lalu begulai lebih kurang beberapa jam berami enggau bala orang tuai ke diau dia. Sinu meda sida orang tuai ke nadai orang ngibun serta nadai kaban belayan. Sekeda dipelaba ke aku, kaban belayan jauh ke enda ulih ngibun sida.

Maya aku kitu, terkenang ke rumah orang tuai di menoa tasik ke jauh manah, bisi indu misi/lutor serta macam-macam endor sida bemain. Endor tu orang bebayar ka tama!

Visited the Rumah Sri Kenangan, home of the old/aged who have no families. This home is government funded but it still received contribution from the public. What we did was just bring in some snacks for tea time and had a great time of fellowship with them. We chat and entertained them to some dances and singing. It was great fun for both!

Then participated in not one, but two, Mothers' Day celebration organized by Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak, Sibu and the Singles' Mothers Association. Two great events, however differently organized. I just got involved with the Singles' Mothers after much persuasion as I felt that I have nothing in common with them. How WRONG I was!! As mothers, all we ever wanted are to provide for our children and to ensure they have a great future; and I always wonder what I have in common and how I could contribute - but I am finding my momentum with them. Pray that the Lord will guide me in this. The pleasure & welcome given by the members of the Singles' Mothers were an encouragement in itself and they inspired me!

Pengudah nya, aku bisi mega enggau bala ngintu Hari Indai ... dua kali!! Sekali enggau Sarakup Indu, lalu konsep ngintu pen lebih 'posh' serta bisi stail. Manah serta rindu bendal ati begulai enggau bala indai-indai serta anak-anak.

Udahnya, aku bisi mega bergulai enggau bala Persatuan Ibu Tunggal, Sibu ke ngintu aba rumah siko ari kaban di Rantau Panjai. Cara ngintu chukup manah serta sinu ngah ati aku enggau bala tu ketegal penusah sida ber-idup ke diri enggau anak-anak.

Kena 21/5 kami ngintu Makai Malam Gawai Dayak di Kingwood Ballroom, lalu aku sinu ke diri ketegal gambar kami duai menyanak enda tentu manah diambi tukang gambar! Chukup Sayau!

Anak & Indai! (yeah, dissappointed in this picture taken by a friend - I always take one with my girl and this year I was busy being a busy bee and forgot to check how well it was taken. I thought that it was well taken in view that the photographer had a more sophisticated camera than mine! Well, learn my lesson, never trust a man with a sophisticated gadget!)

This Gawai holiday, my family and I will be celebrating in Kuala Lumpur with such different atmosphere ... its just family time with lots of food!!

Pengudah nya, kami duai menyanak lalu terus ke KL ketegal deka ngintu Gawai dia enggau bala sebilik ke bukai. Sebillik aku enda ulih pulai ke menoa taun tu ketegal mayoh penanggol, nya alai kami sebuat ke KL.

Kami duai menyanak seminggu di KL nadai pengawa bukai tang tak makai aja-aja. Malam 27/5 kami duai makai enggau kaban aku di Equatorial, Bangi. Nadai ngambi gambar laban ke tembu merati ke endor ke manah serta pemakai ke chukup nyamai. Malam hari satu (30/5) kemari, kami duai mega makai enggau kaban siko dah aba Shangri-La, KL - 'exquisite'.

Tu kami duai menyanak di TGIF Putrajaya malam Gawai .../ My daughter and I. I just realized that I am wearing my latest favourite blouse ha! I wear it in most of my pictures for the last few months! haha!! Friends are also probably wondering whether I've gained weight and this is the only blouse that can fit me!! haha!

Dinner with Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia

My daughter and I had a dinner date with the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia last night; of course, in attendance were also about 1000 other guests! The dinner was aptly called the 1Malaysia Dinner with the Deputy Prime Minister. It was a memorable & wonderful experience for my daughter to meet the person mentioned in history book, face to face! She has been asking to go with me to meet the Prime Minister & the Deputy Prime Minister and finally, she got her wish (half of it, anyway). I guess her prayer was answered last night, when one of my NGO lady pulled out at the last minute and it was quicker for me to ask my daughter (she can get ready in 5minutes) then to ask others who takes half a day to get ready!

Pray that this meeting with the DPM will inspire my daughter to excel in whatever she do, and the heart to serve our people & God!

Pengawa diGaga Diri ....

Nephew, Anak & Aku ... ujung minggu tu.

Bala kaban di menoa ribai & menoa minyak sibuk ngaga pemakai ke sedap2 amat dipeda aku. Ka 'ngamah' ke dapur enda ngah nemu berapi; dibantai ke bup resepi dibeli kelia muyak, nuh berkuwap ngah. Enggai enda maya tetenguk ke utai ke dipanok sida, ngagai Farley Food Court kia meh aku. Peda aku orang di menoa minyak ngaga la-sa-nya, bubuk & belacan, apuuuuu ko ati aku din; amat ngasak endal sida tu! ;)

Friends all from USA to France to Australia and the oil city of Miri are all busy cooking up a storm!! Every types of cakes, bread, Italian, including the famous 'bubuk' (ohhh don't know what its call in English!) and 'belacan' (shrimp paste) are being cooked/prepared/'stepped'! While I, being the greatest 'chef' of all, always goes for the easiest way out - Farley Food Court! This famous food court just about 5 minutes from my house have stalls selling great noodles of all kinds including the famous foochow noodle ie kampua mee & mee goreng basah :D , varieties of dim sum, beef noodle, kompia, cendol, ais kacang, teh tarik yummmiesss .... you name it (Malaysian food, that is) we have it!!! Unfortunately, no pictures, as I am not in a habit of taking pictures of all these great food! I might one day, when I write solely on the varieties of food available here.

Nya alai, ke ngaga bubuk & belacan; mai sebotol & selumpung maya betemu alam 2 minggu dah agi!! :D Ka pen enda nuju sida Secret Resepi meh tu ujung minggu tu ila enti ka makai la-sa-nya; tang meh udu amat berminyak. Nuh ingat ke di-empa aku di Itali taun nyin kemari, chukup ngasoh meliur!! :D

Bala ngagau ngaga pemakai, aku tu chukup ngagau ngaga repot ke AGM & BGM SIDS, udah nya ngatur program pejalai 'outreach' bala indu gereja, ditambah ke macha repot 100 mukasurat opis ke ka enggau pekit kualiti - aruh nuh sebinggau pala aku tu kemari! Kadang-kadang ketegal ka nulong ko jako, nuh diri empu lebih sibuk! Puji Tuhan, semua udah tembu seharitu tadi!

Whilst all the others were cooking up a storm in the kitchen; I was cooking up a storm in the office producing various reports for the several meeting scheduled in March, compiling outreach program, and preparing my speech (and as I write about 1 speech, I remember having to do another on the 12/3!). I also had to read 100 pages of report on the Quality Initiatives of my organization for the Chief Minister's Quality Award, and that was tedious; as I had to rewrite about 70% of it! I should leave it to the officer, but I just couldn't stand the inaccuracies of the data or the style. Its as if I don't have enough to do! Lord, I need your guiding hand!

Repot/jako aku ke AGM SIDS Sibu kena 5/3/2011 tu semina bisi dibetul ke mimit, laban tulis leka Iban aku tu enda berapa. Nya neh, baru ingat ke 'speech' aku ke 12/3 lalu empai dipikir!!!!! AKAIDAIIIIIII!!!! Ok, hari satu tu aku belaboh. Ngerja pengawa ke beguna dulu! Repot BGM SIDS udah lama tembu, seharitu aku nembu ke printing & binding iya - ungkos RM420++ - udah aku tembu ngaga bup mit nya baru aku terpikir ke patut meri sida alam softcopy aja! Enda ke ungkos meli siti cd ka RM1.00; diatu ungkos aku print/bind etc ianya RM8.00+ siti! Ketegal ka ngadu ke pemansang aba Bala Indu gereja, enggau orang bepilih taun kemari; diatu nuh nambah ngah kerja ... minta Allah Taalah meri pengibun selalu! Nadai utai enda ulih dikerja enti kitai begulai enggau Iya!

Alam aku ngagau tu, geran SIDS Sibu mega berlimpah datai ... Puji Tuhan!! Nuh ngagau meri sida no akaun aku meh 2 hari tu. Arap ke geran tu ulih ngemaju ke pengawa kitai.

Pengawa ujung minggu tu, makai hari pengada bala anak petunggal & ipar! Selamat Hari Jadi Apai Charmin, Bibie & Vera!!

Over the weekend, I attended 2 birtday parties ... eating eating and lots of laughter and story telling! Thank you, children of my fruit looms ;) for the great birthday cakes!! :)

Tu meh emel ke nuh bedujung alam peti surat aku! Nie enda nuh terkait ati ka meli tiket bilun mudah! Lau ngekebut meh tudah tunjuk aku tu 2 hari tu, ngiga tiket rega RM5.00 serta ngiga endor ke di-lawak!

Bali .... Singapura .... Vientienne .... Bandung .... Kuala Lumpur .... ??? Kini ;) ???

Taun tu tudah anak ngambi pereksa UPSR alam tengah bulan September tu; nya alai enda tentu ulih bejalai taun tu. Taja udah bisi pejalai ketegal mantai ke kertas kerja di menoa ribai baru tengan taun tu ila. Anak aku nya pen sabana empai kala meda Singapura taja menoa nya semak amat! Brunei pen empai ko iya (nya aku madah, ila nemuai ngagai aunty Sibugey lalu minta bai iya tua!! :D). Nya alai, enggau orang segaut meda website ngah aku.

Imagine airline tickets to various destinations at low low prices! MATTA Fare is on and I am one of those who were first at the websites! Need to get the RM5.00 ticket! Yeah but they are smarter!! When you 'hit' this fare, the website hung!!

ASEAN Countries?? Bali? Bandung? Singapore? Vientienne? Where will it be?

Its been 2 days of hard work, deciding where to go and finalizing my traveling budget for 2011. Its UPSR year for my daughter, too; so I want to make sure that I am around when she sits for the examination in mid September. I would love to take her visiting some of these countries, where possible! So the plan is to visit neighboring countries.

Anyway, its a done deal!! I've clicks and purchased the tickets!! ;)
