Stail Baru ...

Maya agi mit suba, nya stail ko sida indai lalu nya meh nyadi. Diatu anak aku tu, nuh 'belaya' belama nama maya ka begunting ke buk. Iya agi mit suba, aku ke bejako enggau tukang gunting kami duai! Diatu, orang empu bejako enggau tukang gunting; baik tukang gunting nya udah teleba kami lebih 15 taun!

Stail buk kami duai enda tentu jauh meh berubah ari setaun ke setaun. Engge anak, lurus panjai; engku panjai selalu begeletang aba ujung.

Udahnya, lama buk tudah anak digalau panjai. Lawa diri, taja lelak amat betanchang buk setiap pagi maya ka nurun sekul. Buk iya setiap pagi, ditanchang iku kuda :D lalu sebedau nya diusut enggau minyak buk, datai ke buk iya 'sleek'! Enda tau serambal buk nya pansut!

Stail buk iya diatu pandak aja. Digunting tegan taun 2009 tu kemari. Meda bala kawan iya be buk pandak; iya pen ka. Gunting aja. Diatu iya ka ngalau buk iya panjai baru ko iya; ketegal ko iya empu .. "Mummy, I look better with long hair." Tang peda aku, sama manah! Semina buk pandak, nyamai agi di-intu!

Gaya 2010 .. maya taun baru cina.

Laban ketegal buk iya tu nuh panjai dimua, stail diatu .. dikelit buk dimua ke belakang. Sehari suntuk iya musin ke buk iya. Aku relax aja, meda orang betinjau aba cermin. Penyadi iya...

Gaya 2010 - pengudah taun baru cina!!

Kati peda kita? Lawa agi? ;) Orang empu rindu amat ke stail buk nya. Cermin mata pen baru (lens aja) ketegal degree cermin nuh niki mimit. Gagang enda ditukar, laban ke baru dibeli empai bulih 6 bulan serta mega agi manah.

Pemeri Hari Pengada ...

Pemeri Hari Pengada anak bulan nyin kemari laun dibeli ketegal ke ka meli di London, ko jako. Bisi ngah meli ke iya ayam ke mit-mit tang meh indu dara aku enda tentu puas ati!

Tengahari kemari kami duai iya lalu nurun ke pasar besai, laban iya ka milik pemeri iya empu. Auk meh ko aku. Tu meh utai ke dipilih iya! Jam Elle (ukai Bonia, saruk peda mata! :D) ke terubah tudah!

Birthday Present - I thought that I would buy her 11th birthday gift when I was in London. I did get her several small gifts/souvenirs; but someone was NOT satisfied with the gifts. So yesterday afternoon, we went to the shops and she selected her own gift. Her first watch! She had watches before of the mickey mouse/kitty/princess types, so this is her first 'young girl' watch! Its an Elle watch (not Bonia)! I didn't get my first Bonia watch until 1995 - purchased with my first bonus from acting on a higher post!!!

Prosperous New (Tiger) Year ...

Firecrackers had been blasting since yesterday evening! Yesterday's evening the neighborhood streets were polluted with smoke, noise & papers as the firecrackers (albeit illegal) were lit all over the town! Some minor fireworks light up the sky - just gorgeous! So colorful! If only they would do it systematically, then the sky would be lit throughout the night! I love the fireworks!! As I am writing this blog now, the firecrackers & fireworks are blasting away & the occasional lightening of the sky!

The children love Chinese New Year; not so much due to the food but more to the 'red' packet or angpow distributed. The culture is to distribute to children or unmarried adult! ahmmmm ;)

Early this morning at about 10:00 am, off I go to my bff house! I always enjoy visiting her, and I usually spent about an hour, testing all her food! Yeah, I am always the FIRST one - I am her food tester; and as usual - all my and Val's favourite food are served!! Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the food! Her satay was GREAT and of course we were silently served with some special dishes!! I always forget to take pictures; but I did remember to take a group photo - when half of family were already out the door!

The next stop was the SUPP or Visionary Team Open House at the Civic Center. My Sarakup ladies joined me there at about 11.30am.

Meeting of old friends.

There were plentiful of food (Malay style) served in stalls - Beef in Black Sauce, Curry Chicken, Fried MeeHoon, Mandarin Oranges (a must fruit) and packet drinks. Just delicious! I didn't take much because I already had my fill at Anna's place! The disappointing thing for the children was that no ANGPOW was distributed! I wonder why? It reduces the festival mood; the amount is not important, but its the tradition/culture of the angpow that is what the children are looking for!

Thereafter, Val & I make stops at several other friends house - and we had to stop at one girlfriend's house because she always served the BEST cakes!! We visited her family for about 1 hour also; and I think we probably almost finish the entire serving of the cakes!! YEAH .. expect 1 kg of weight gain!

Tomorrow ... another round of visits!!

Pengerami Kahwin ke Terubah Taun tu ...

Malam tu tadi aku bisi enggau ngulu pengerami makai kahwin Olivier (staf aku) enggau Jacqueline aba siti restoran di Sibu. Chukup rami serta chukup pemayoh ngah ai bisa disadong bala. Aku tu tekenyit meda diri dikagau ke pangau meri 'toast' ngagai seduai begulai enggau sida sebilik. Tekenyit ke diri terpaksa ngirup ai ke disangka aku red wine; nasip ngah ai nya 'sparkling grape juice'!!

Tahniah ngagai Olivier & Jacqueline - besampi ke Allah Taalah merkat seduai selalu!


Kiba-Kanan: Olivier, Jacqueline, Mrs & Mr Sanyun, EB, serta YB Aaron, ke mega bisi datai ngulu pengerami.



Ngaga ati ulih betemu enggau bala kaban, ari kiba aku ianya Lawyer Jarraw, Dr. Ali, enggau kaban siko dah - sori, enda ingat nama! Aku enda ingat ngelantik sida tiga tu nyadi 'penyaga' aku malam tadi!!

Nya ngah bala, nama udah ngirup enda tentu nemu nagang diri; nuh bisi keterlalu ngah perangai keda. Sekeda iya nuh beperangai merakak batas - enti enda mabuk, sigi bisi leka jako ditibal ka; laban orang nya ke mabuk; senang agi kitai nyeleya ke diri!

Chelap Pemadu Chelap ...

Chukup chelap - asai iya aba aku - menoa ribai, taja suhu diantara 1 - 6 degree C maya aku din minggu nyin kemari. Ko bala, aku baru terlepas salji! Bedik endal aku, ko aku! :) Ya, ya, aku baru pulai ari London, seminggu aku din.

Pengawa kerja ngulu Global Water Leakage Summit 2010, lalu aku mega bisi ngenatai ke siti kertas kerja pasal pengawa Non Revenue Water (NRW) ari opis aku. Mujur amat serta nerima mayoh puji ketegal iya; puji Tuhan. Kira-kira 180 orang bisi ninga/enggau conference/summit nya; lalu ketebal agi ianya bala ari UK, Europe serta bisi mega ari Australia, Africa, USA, Canada, & Asia (ulih di itung sepiak jari). Tu siti conference ke chukup teratur serta padat dibanding enggau beberapa iti conference bertaraf antarabangsa; tang enda ngemanah tu - kertas kerja ke dibantai semua nyemetak serta padat, serta nguntung ke magang!

Makai malam begulai enggau bala pakar NRW ari Canada & UK. Ko jako dikagau makai (invited), tang meh nuh mayar ngah kediri! Lain endal ngah adat orang ribai tu! :D Taja pia, keran ngah iya ke ngagau ke aku ka mayar ungkup aku, tang meda orang nuh mantai ke duit, mantai ngah aku! Makai malam tu aba private club di Central London, chukup manah endal endor serta penuh kelas - rega pemakai pen setanding!

Maya aku di London, bisi ngah sempat raun-raun & meli utai ke mimit ngambi ke bisi digaga ke anak! Laban ke siko aja bejalai, enda tentu nyamai raun nadai kaling dibai berandau, nadai orang ngambi gambar. Nya alai gambar-gambar ke diambi aku tu mayoh agi ke endor2, mimit aja ke bisi aku. Kita ngah nemu, aku tu enda orang ke rindu begambar!! Ambis orang tisi jalai ditarit asoh ngambi gambar aku; sekeda terang, sekeda kerabul, sekeda enda ulih dikena meh nya!

Raun-raun lemai - baru pukul 5 lemai nuh baka jam 8 malam!!

Laban ke kediri aja, aku lalu nyanking bas tour Hop-on-hop-off; taja mayoh agi aku tu didalam bas ketegal seharinya kelalu chelap! Pejalai aku sekali tu sempat ngah niki meda art alam National Art Gallery & British Museum - lari ke chelap kini! ;)

British Museum tu kira-kira 10min ari hotel aku, nya alai, tumu kaban bejalai alam chelap serta ujan mesik-mesik.

Alam seminggu di London, tan diri ngah enda makai asi; taja hari aku pulai, kamu duai kawan aku makai pemakai cina - aku ngurut mee soup (ketegal kelalu chelap) serta makai char siew pau - nuh tetenguk! Kelimpah ari nya, aku dibai sida makai pemakai aba restoran Itali, Peranchis, & Inggeris.

My one (1) week stay in London was just wonderful, albeit the cold weather! The Global Water Leakage Summit 2010 was great with very systematic, useful & informative papers presented, and had an opportunity to network with more NRW experts from UK, Canada, US, and other parts of the world. A most fruitful summit!

I did manage to spend some time touring the usual sites, and managed to visit the National Art Gallery & the British Museum, and enjoyed those visits tremendously! Yes, I did go to the usual shops - Harrods (thanks SR for the wonderful gift), and the assortments of souvenir shops AND not forgetting Hard Rock Cafe'!
