Besampi ke berkat & tuah datai berlimpah maya taun arnab tu. Ukai semina menyadi kitai ke bangsa Cina ngintu, kitai ke bukai tu ngah lebih agi ngintu! Nuh lelah diri ngabang/nemuai ngagai sida. Enti kelia, ngabang ngagai sida dihidang ke kuih & ai aja; diatu semua ngenah ke kari manok, daging masak hitam, satay, aba sekeda rumah tunu janik, ikan, serta buah-buah. Kami sebilik mega ngintu secara mit aja; laban ke bala menyadi aku bisi pulai.
Pray that the year of the Rabbit will bring lots of blessings to all. This year was a little bit special for us, as we also celebrated in a small scale. We did not have open house, but relatives that drop by were equally surprised by our simple goodies! Honestly, the goodies were also for us; we enjoyed it more!
This year we had double eve dinners - one at my sis-in-law's sister's place with her wonderful family and at my uncle's place. The former was more due to the fact that family were in from KL, so was honored with the eve's dinner, otherwise, we usually have 1st day dinner at her place! This year, my cousin had a grander eve's dinner with the family from both sides. It was great to connect with the little nieces and nephews, who coincidently are no longer little - all taller than me!!! It was great fellowship. Thank you Lord for the Blessings!

iya belanda kin kitu, lalu digambar aku aba lobi opis.
On the eve, Karl happily joined me in the office for a couple of hours! He was keeping me company as the executive wing was getting very very lonely - it was only my secretary & I manning the office. Karl graciously agreed to join me and he keep us entertained with his many questions and took him on the tour of the office, too. So here he is at the lobby's Chinese New Year decoration.

Anak mit endang rindu ngabang laban ke ka ngulih ke angpow. Taja pemeri nya ngelai ke aja, bala anak rindu endal. Nge Karl rindu meda pemayoh iti, ukai penyampau ulih. Bedau pulai ari rumah ke endor ngabang, nuh udah ka dibuka iya. Bendal nagang iya muka! Anak aku suba pia meh. Taja utai mar, tang enti dipeda ari pemeri; manah diri - nadai kurang ari RM5.00!
Most children look forward to receiving the red packet ie angpow and Karl was no exception. He received quite a few packets, and he's MORE happy about receiving 5 pieces of RM1.00 bill than a piece of RM5.00 or RM10.00 bill! So precious!

Nya mimit aja di enak ke orang; iya ke chocolate nya ditembu ke kami duai menyanak aja! hahaha Laban ke aba rumah bala ke semak, enda malu nembu ke iya! Udah nya minta baru!!
In the early years, only cakes, cookies & drinks are served; nowadays, EVERYONE is serving curry chicken, beef, satay, and the cakes, cookies & drinks. So after a couple of houses, you're just 'tired' of the food. Even the cakes are almost the same!

Kami sebuat aba rumah bala sebilik, pengudah makai, belelak. Nasib bangku enda pecah ngasak ke kami menyanak.
We visited my sis-in-law's sister's place and enjoyed duck & bbq meat - yummies and after that, I was worried when all of us had to share the 2 seater sofa! hmmm It was a wonderful time of sharing.
I was not quick with my camera this holiday season, for some reasons ;) I was talking and socializing more and only remembered about taking pictures once I am in the car on the drive out! So there's no pictures with all my friends/relatives - unfortunately!
Amidst all the visiting, I had to perform official duty also; which I did not delegate to my officers as I was curious about seeing & meeting the new wife of the Chief Minister! I also had several opportunities to meet his late wife (may she rest in peace) and was curious to see how this one measure up? I was at the end of the line and had a opportunity to exchange a few words. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get a picture with her! Next time!

Aku diujung baris tu, enda tentu mayoh bala ke airport laban semua nganti di rumah ko, laban pejalai iya ngabang. Amat bajik, ngeninggi kitai, nyangka laban iya ke orang baru, ditanya nyaut lalu bejako mimit nga iya. Nyangka aku aja kini ke nanya iya; laban kami ke indu maya nya semina 5 iko (nyengkaum bini menteri siko & ipar CM).I was at the end of the receiving line and did manage to exchange a few words with her, which to me is a plus for her, in my book!
