Mayoh cerita laban ke lama enda betemu! Tua Beatrice taja sama endor, jarang amat betemu! Topik randau ~ cerita diri ie shopping shopping, ulah bala anak, effects of Green TEA!, answered prayers with 7 criterias/wish list, etc etc ...

Terima kasih Tina udah ngempuru ke bala; rindu endal ngah begulai berandau baka tu sekali sekala! Girls Night Out!! Ila merancang ke 'hebat' ;) agi!!

Only a couple more days ~ 2 days ~ to Gawai Festival. Gawai is celebrated each year on the 1 - 2 June (officially) to mark the end of the Harvest season for the Dayaks of Borneo! However, for those of us in the longhouse; it begins on the 31 May!! We got to catch up with the merry making time! Its the time of the year when most of the longhouse folks will be back, therefore lots of catch-up time!! The preparation, however, had started months ago!

Mom had make her famous Tuak (Rice Wine) in March as she wanted her Tuak to be filtered and clear 'yellowish' liquid. As in making of wine, likewise the rice wine will taste better the longer it is kept, (better the taste/texture/strength).

Val and I had been caught up with the preparation of the Gawai Dayak Dinner celebration on the 22 May at the Civic Center. SIDS Sibu (thus involving me directly) was the lead organizor and Val volunteered as performers for the group dances ie Kajat Iban & Bidayuh and also took part in the welcoming party! The celebration went very well, if I may say so, and really appreciated all the encouragement & kind words from friends who commented on the event. Birthday ...

Last week, I celebrated my birthday, too ( :D won't tell how young I am!) with lunch with 3 friends (two of whom also had the same birthdate/birthmonth) and then dinner with a single swiss roll slice topped with a teddy bear from Val. ( ;) Does the fact that the single swiss roll tells you how young I am? lol candles couldn't fit into the slice of cake! ). Anyway, Val have been trying to get me to the mall since she got her 'hard earned' token from the dances she did during the Gawai celebration ~ RM112.35 ~ and I only managed to take her there yesterday evening. What a wonderful surprise!!!!! She wanted to go to the mall, because she wanted to buy me a shoe (she got a sandal for herself, too!) that I have been admiring for months at that store!!! Thank you darlin', Mommy will treasure the shoe always! :)

Ke nyadi lilin meri penampak alam pengidup; ke nyadi garam alam pengidup, ke nyadi tungkat meri pengering alam sebilik. Terima Kasih, laban ketegal Berkat Allah Taalah, meri Indai ke Sempurna. Semua penemu & pemandai endang diturun ke nuan Indai olih kuasa ke datai ari Apai ke di serga. Begulai ...

Untung endal aku tengahari tu tadi sempat begulai ngirup tengahari begulai enggau Sebugey aka akak Jenny & orang hebat RTM Mary! Peda seduai ngetat ke diri ka senyum! :) Rindu serta gaga bendar ati ulih betemu enggau seduai tadi. Dianti aku aum opis aku ke temu, ngambi aku betali hello enggau akak. Jam 3.45pm tadi aku lalu diambi iya ari Mega; lalu terus ngagai endor fav seduai. Randau enda putus-putus sambil kami sebuat ngering ke tubuh enggau roti & apple pie!

Terima kasih ketegal seduai ulih limpang bersulu enggau aku tengahari tu tadi!

So pleased that I was able to meet up with these two great ladies, Jenny & Mary, sisterhood throught SIDS. Caught up with some girl chats/their recently success story organizing the pra-gawai celebration/and many other sharings. Thank you sisters for sharing/spending time with me, on this very short visit to Miri!

Cuti - cuti ...

Ujung minggu empai lama, kami duai menyanak cuti-cuti ngagai pasar meowww! Enda lama din, tang meh chukup endor rindang aba hotel, makai-makai, serta raun-raun. Anak rindu amat iya aba hotel: nemu nya releks aja aba hotel, makai buffet aba coffee house, Seattle Coffee House, muzium, etc etc.

Tua iya sempat mega nyeguk ngagai sida Apple Donut, Ms Read (kedai fav aku tu!), serta ronda-ronda aba theSpring. Endor besai tang dipelaba ke aku, semina 10% kini orang ke amat bebeli ke barang. Selain ari nya, nyangka tak ke lari ari panas diluar!

Sebedau ngerindang diri, aku tu kerja sehari laban ke opis ngatur Strategic Planning Workshop di Kuching, lalu bisi 22 iko orang bala pegawai bisi enggau. Pegawai-pegawai semua ke atas nitih ke ripih organisasi. Workshop tu endang patut diatur lama udah, tang meh ketegal mayoh pengawa, enda kala nyadi. Sesi ke baka tu ke 4 kali udah diatur aku, tang sekali tu aku ngasoh bos & 3 iko agi staf prof & mgtm nyadi facilitator. Nya meh, pengujung iya; nuh bisi kerja rumah bala! Engku nama diatur, sigi sistematik serta siap; empai siap enda asoh aku pansut! Tu laban bos besai pen sama-sama ka ngetu; 'homework' aja diberi. So agi 2 bulan tu agi mayoh pengawa!

Last weekend, Val & I spent the weekend in Kuching ... it was a great R&R and bonding time for both of us! We had a great time exploring the Cat Muzium, touristy sights, shopping, and enjoying great food ... Apple Donut! Yeah, we're crazy about donuts, unfortunately, I am not alert to taking pictures (yet) so we don't have one of us munching away half a dozen of great delicious chocolate & nut flavoured donuts!!! yummmy Of course, another shared passion for mother and daughter - shopping; Val bought a couple of t-shirts, tights, WHILST I was being a great mommy - no shopping thus allowing my darling to get more for herself! She's really into fashion - didn't recall choosing my OWN outfit at her age. Used to just wear whatever my mom picked for me! Anyway, we had a great time! I would have bought an outfit from Ms Read if there was anything of interest; alas none that attracts me!

Oh, did I mention that partly the weekend was also WORK! :)
