Agi tauka badu berblog ...

Tu nuh mangai 2 taun aku udah ngelaboh ke blog tu. Belaboh 3/1/09 suba ... pengudah 2 taun, nuh asai ke buruk tudah tunjuk tu naip utai! Nya meh nuh berunding ka ngetu ke blog tu sementara waktu ko sida.

Terubah iya, meri ngagai semua bala ke sekali sekala nyenguk aku ditu:

Selamat Taun Baru, besampi ke berkat Allah Taala seruran enggau kita!

Pengudah ke pulai kemisi hari nya, lalu empai bisi hari nambah ke utai alam ditu; laban ke nuh ngagau ngaga Scrapbook ke hari pengada anak. Ingat aku suba, bisi bala ke berblog nukar iya nyadi bup, bisi progrim ko; tang aku ke enda tetemu ke iya. Nya meh nuh ngaga ari pun. Bendar diri ngaga cerita anak! Ngambi ke bisi pengingat iya ila.

Taun tu mega, nuh puas ngah ngaga resolusi; bedau ngah ulih. Nya alai taun tu, siti ari resolusi ... asal berat tubuh enda betambah, baju agi chukup! Puji Tuhan! Puas endal ngah ber-yo yo ke sida baju! Baju ngibo-ngibo enda mayoh, tang taun tu ka ngena baju ke chukup! Reti nya belaboh rindu serta lantang ke isi tubuh diri ke chukup gerai serta chomel tu!! ;) Kumbai aku bisi kurang pemulai ari bercuti, laban tudah tanjut jean aku nuh bisi puang ... tang meh maya pemisi di KL ngisi baru iya!!

I am debating whether I should continue blogging or just stop. Entering my 2nd year of blogging, I am just getting a tiny winy bitty lazy! Also I have run out of exciting and new things to share with all of you. Just realized that my activities (Sarakup, Church, Family, etc etc) are almost the same year in and out, with almost the same people, too! Ouch! What exciting life I have!! Need to spice it up!

Let me wish all of you a Happy & Blessed New Year (better late then never!)! The Rabbit will come a-knocking next week, and I think we will be celebrating Chinese New Year this time! I've been asked to order 3 types of cakes (by you know who), open house - maybe not likely, lots of people in the house - definitely, and lots of visiting! Afterall, its festival time. There goes my waistline! I thought that I had shed the inches in Europe, afterall my jeans were loose ... but KL holiday didn't help much ... all that noodle!!

This year, decided its time to appreciate all the curves and showcase them!! Hahaha ... yeah yeah I gained weight and will just squeeze lovable me into whatever is available!!

Pemakai ...

Pemakai ke diuji kami duai menyanak, chukup mayoh - taja enda ingat digambar sekeda iya. Sepemanjai jalai endang sigi makai pemakai orang putih ianya daging ... daging ... daging!! Pengelama enda makai asi; ukai main enda tetenguk meda restoran cina di Venice. Kami duai lalu ngetu, minta makai (laban ke restoran nya tutup, jam 4 lemai,). Nasib ngah sida ka muka/manok ke tua iya laban ke tukang masak bisi lalu ka ngah tudah manok! Taja balat makai, enda ngah niki pemerat; engka ketegal udu amat bejalai!



We were quite adventurous with food throughout the trip; however, we missed rice ... so when we found a chinese restaurant in Venice; we went for it! It was so costly!!

Belelang ...

Bulan November ngagai pun December to kemari, kami duai menyanak merantau ke menoa ke chelap. Ngiga utai ke nyelai/nadai ... ko anak ... salji! Kami duai bejalai lebih kurang 17 hari belaboh ari London naka Paris. Rindu diri ngah pemisi, & releks begulai enggau anak, munyi ko kaban aku siko ... ngaga pengingat (making memories). Mayoh menoa ditujak kami duai; ianya belaboh ari London (4 hari), Brussels, Lake Lucerne, Insbruck, Venice, Florence, French Riveria & Lyon Area (1 hari magang), Rome (2 hari), enggau Paris (4 hari). Menoa ke dipansa aja, baka Luxembourg, Monaco, & Liechtenstein.

Lama diri udah ngatur ka bejalai; ketegal deka mai anak meda pemansang menoa orang, ngambi tudah ke meda menoa/endor ke disebut alam bup alam tauka sejarah. Aku nuh kutap2 lebih agi ari tour director madah ke menoa ngagai anak. Rindu amat bersulu enggau anak kediri baka nya; lalu iya mega lanchat/pintar endal macha peta jalai ke tua iya. Iya mega rajin mai 'backpack' ke berisi ai, payung, biskut etc meh nya ke kami duai.

Siti ari kebuah nurun bejalai laun, ianya ketegal ka meda salji; lalu peminta nya semina nyadi maya kami di Lyon & Paris. Taja maya mansah Alps endang nuh burak tujuk bukit; tang meh enda ulih di pegai. Ka ke atas bukit maya di Switzerland enda ulih, ketegal kereta 'cable' bisi jai. Nasib manah mega, nuh di Lyon ulih bemain enggau salji .. sepagi!

Taja pengerindu anak ka meda salji, aku tu chukup pengirau enggau ke kelalu tebal salji; lagi nuh enda ulih pulai etc. Anak besampi ke salji, aku besampi ke salji enda udu amat! Nyadi kami duai - Puji Tuhan - iya meri salji ke chukup kena bemain; serta nadai penanggul pejalai.
Nya meh tua iya nurun tumu (sebedau sekul tutup), ngambi enda temekang ketegal salji kelalu lebat. Taja emulai ari Paris; bilun tua iya enda ulih berangkat 2.5 jam; puji Tuhan nadai penanggol bukai lalu selamat datai di menoa.

Aku enda mayoh utai ditusi ditu; semina aku mantai ka sekeda gambar kami duai iya.

Last month, we finally went on the Europe tour that have been in the planning for 2 long years! It was a great & memorable journey of discovery for both of us - discovery our passion for travel, culture, history, and just the love of food! Valerie experienced many 'first' as we traveled 17 days across Europe's most popular cities/sites.

Valerie's wishes were to experience snow (again) and to visit Disneyland Paris - PTL - we managed both, albeit the cold weather in Disneyland!

It was a great journey of 'making memories' (as a dear friend put it!).

Siti ari tuju anak, endang iya ka meda Disneyland Paris. Peragam ati iya, ka meda semua Disneyland! Diatu iya udah meda aba HongKong & Paris. Ketegal iya agi mit agi maya ke USA suba, empai nemu minta ka ke Disneyland di Orlando! Ila meh ko aku, meda ke di LA & Tokyo :D

At Disneyland Paris, and Valerie wishes are to visit all the Disneyland parks in the world; so we have only made it to Hong Kong & Paris. Coming soon should be either LA or Tokyo :D

Salji tebal endal maya pagi kami duai di Lyon, France. Anak rindu, laban ke bemain salji sida iya sekaban tumu pagi. 'Snowball fight' orang enggau bala kaban baru iya! Aku tukang gambar aja!

Maya di Florence, Italy enda rindu endal aku; laban ujan lebat amat. Nadai tentu ulih bejalai. Agi mega bala orang din bisi marathon; semua jalai alun disekat; nuh bepusing ka ngagai pasar! Umbas iya pemedis kaki bejalai, agi jalai sida tu batu segi empat mit serta enda nyamai di-indik.
Florence was so wet, that in a way the appreciation for the city was lost! We didn't go on the walking tour as it was just pouring, and we learned also that the guide just pointed left/right in their hurry to finish the tour! However, we did have a wonderful time exploring the square although most of the shops were closed and the place was blocked off due to some marathon going on.

Rome, Italy ... puas anak neguk dinding; ngira endor tu ke nuh beribu taun udah digaga! Pulai tu kemari, keran ka meda cerita 'Gladiator' iya; laban nya wayang selalu disebut orang din maya nusi pasal endor tu.
Colosseum, Rome, Italy which just fascinates Valerie with its History! She's determined to watch the movie Gladiator after this, as it was mentioned often enough by the tour guide!

Vatican City ... rindu iya meda muzium enggau gereja besai tu! Maya kami diak, sida benong niri ke kayu krismas; serta mega ngatur siti mass ke besai sampai di luar.
We explored the Vatican/cathedral/museum and I realized that my daughter loves art!! We also did a tour of the Lourve in Paris. She enjoyed those tours tremendously. I am beginning to love art - because her love for it is contagious! ;)

Enggau orang bersegeng-segeng begambar aba fountain tu.

Yup ... we were here ... and also at the Spanish steps and am proud to say that I climbed the 136 steps!! My daughter cheered me on as I climbed it .. it was tough!!

We spend a day in Windsor/Eton visiting the shops & castle. Thank you Stephen for this wonderful trip. Of all the places, Valerie chose Nando's as her choice for lunch! :D She was the decision maker for most part of the trip!

Nyendia ke Cuti Sekula ...

Minggu baru, cuti sekul belaboh lalu mayoh amat pengawa ke deka diatur ngambi ke biak & ke tuai bisi pengawa belama!!

Pengawa ke diatur:-

1. Cuti Musim Chelap .... mmmm??

2. Cuti-cuti Malaysia .... mmm begulai enggau bala sebilik!! YEA!!!

3. Cuti-cuti ngerja pengawa sekula ... ooooo ko anak!!

4. Cuti-cuti nge-relek ke tubuh .... oooohhh yeaaaaa ko mummy!!

Ngagai bala ke bercut pulai ke menoa ... selamat pulai & selamat bercuti Entayang.

Orang indu dalam pengawa teknikal ...

Minggu tu udah dua hari enggau orang bertalat ke bala indu ke ka diambi nyadi jurutera & penolong jurutera aba opis aku. Kati ke runding aku ngambi bala indu kerja alam bidang tu?

Enti nunda ke iya, endang nadai tentu dirunding ke; laban laki tauka ke indu - sama ulih ngerja! Tang ketegal ulah sekeda ari bala indu ke enggai kerja begilir, kerja malam, etc ke nanggul aku ngambi sida. Maya aku belaboh suba, barang maya dikagau; aku sigi nurun. Kadang kerja sampai pagi; nadai bisi sebana. Orang biak diatu, diasoh kerja lebih, diasoh kerja malam, diasoh nurun ke padang ... semua enda ulih; lebih agi sida ke indu. Sekeda madah ke diri enda ulih nurun laban enggau staf laki ianya nurun kediri. Nie alah nuh semua nurun ngerja pengawa ke sama! Mayoh amat kebuah enda ulih. Bakani ka diambi? Sekeda maya temuduga pen nadai 'semengat' gaya. Lembab aja gaya.

Siko ari indu ke ditanya, madah ke diri enti bala staf nundi (flirt) iya; iya ka nundi (flirt) mega ko iya! Parai kitai - sigi tentu bisi kes skandal nyadi enti iya ngawa. Bakani ka nyukong bala sida ke indu. Tu ukai bererti sida ke laki nurun ditanya tadi manah; bisi ngah ke enda terpansut ke jako! Sekeda nuh bergetar bejako.

Bala anembiak kitai mesti nyendia ke diri sebedau nurun ditemuduga. Bakani cara? Pekara ke minima patut ditemu ianya infomasi pasal organisasi ke dilawak; baru dipeda pintar, nemu ngiga infomasi, serta cergas! Mayoh mega pekara bukai ke patut ke disedia ka.

Kasih endal aku meda bala anak biak kitai tu tadi. Asai ke enda baka nya aku suba; ko bala sida ke nanya aku kelia - stedi aku ;) ... semina di'anu' sida ketegal enda nemu nama lagu negeri!! Ya enda nemu nama lagu 'Ibu Pertiwiku'!! Nya ko aku nyaut sida - udah tu (temudaga) legi aku enda semina nemu nama lagu; aku mega nemu belagu ke iya! :D

Nyadi bakani pemutus di opis dua hari tu tadi .... antik dulu, aku empai ulih mantai ke berita laban agi 'rahsia'. Tang bala ke ngelala aku, nemu aku tu endang sigi nyukong pemansang orang indu. Asai aku nemu lah kita pemutus iya!!

10 Latest Updates ...

1. Enjoyed my 10 days alone with my darling, doing all the mummies duties ... wow! I love it but am glad that my parents are home again to help me! Its time like these that the contribution/help from my parents are greatly appreciated! Love you Mom & Dad and we miss you very much; and glad that your home with us, now! :D

2. This question comes up a lot over the week - What does it means to be a Christian Woman? Methodist Woman? Would love to hear your honest views/opinions, friends!

3. Its packing time, and was dealing with my darling daughter's first - found that she had 2 jeans. 2 long sleeve shirts, 2 set thermal suits, 2 sweaters, 1 winter jacket set (complete with hat, gloves, scarf), walking shoes, and that's it. Is that enough for 3 weeks wintery weather? Not if we are to smell good!!! So she needs maybe 2 more pairs of jeans & 2 l/sleeve shirts?! I know, I know ... all we're going to see in the pictures will be the winter jacket, hat, gloves & scarf .... but, hey! got to wear relatively clean inner wears too! ;)

4. Pulled out my jeans (yup, I do wear them and they are at least 20 years old, great condition, fit well (in January 2010!!) and my many sweaters (yup from 10 yrs ago but worn annually!!) and find that they fit me fine but tighly! mmmmm

5. Weight myself this week ... WOW!!! I need to loose the extra kgs!!! ok ok friends, I know that I have extra kgs as it is; BUT this is new extra kgs from the existing extra kgs .. got it??!!! LOL I need personal trainer ... any volunteer? ;)

6. Self-examination of one's faith & commitment to the Church/Methodist Women. Prioritizing on the various commitment ... Lord give me the strength to deal with all these! Give me the strength, wisdom, etc also to deal with these young/old women.

7. I am all set for my leave!! Really excited about this adventure with my darling! :)

8. It still amazes me that senior officers still need guidance/reminders in carrying their duties/functions! There is a limit to the level of tolerance/understanding to incompetencies! It upsets me when their works are linked with mine, and then they have the audacity to say, they are not 'aware' of requests, 'overlooked', or whatever 'excuses' that comes to their mind! Yet, they are given opportunities for promotion!! Brings to mind the statement ... some people works for 10 years and gain 10 years of experience, whilst others may only gain a year's experience!

9. Scheduled to travel for 2 days to Kota Kinabalu next week; but I am just not in the mood to go as the workshop topics are nothing new. There's only so much knowledge/information that can be 'drilled' into me. So only my young technician will attend it. He will enjoy the environment!

10. The wheels of government machinery moves at its own pace. You want to be get upset, what's the point; it will get done when it gets done! The only good thing is that, I am just waiting for the formal letter - as I have been informed that 'it' had been verbally approved. Yet, I feel better once the letter is in hand. :D

Change is Here...

Praise the Lord, Wind of Change is blowing through Sarawak Iban Annual Conference-Methodist Women! How 'strong' the 'wind' will depend on His chosen group of 'young' ladies who have been elected to lead for the next 2 years. Pray for us to receive guidance/blessing to do his work and fullfill the mission at hand. The theme for the next quadranium is "Spreading the Gospel, Transform the Nation" (hope the translation is right, but I will get the English version, soon and update here).

In any organization/society, Change is hard to accept and lots of resistance to it from the 'old' timers or former leaders, but with prayers and guidance from the President SIAC Rev Steward Damat, we tend to 'follow' and be 'guided' by our spiritual leader. Thank you Lord for your merciful blessings and guidance!

Here's the new 'young' ladies, 95% first timers, elected to lead the SIAC-MW for the next 2 years. May the Lord bless and guide them as they do Lord's works through Methodist Women aka Bala Indu Methodist.

By the way, yours truly was nominated for the post of President, and was appointed as Vice-President. You will wonder ... how does the system works? Well, I lost the election for the Presidency and thus appointed as the Vice. This was one of the challenge and matter that I have been praying about for years, to be or not to be; to heed the call or ignore it? In the end, I leave it to His hands and He has spoken and defined the role. Include me in your prayers that I will be able to deliver and serve.

Maybe as I wonder, and I'm sure others do also is how am I going to fit THIS new role into my already busy life! Work is already so demanding with my many functions/responsibilities coupled with my leadership of Sarakup, other community societies PLUS now MW? Well, the Lord knows what you need and put you in the 'right' place and creates 'right' environment etc.. PLT, my 2 key officers in Sarakup are now more free to take more active roles; see how the Lord 'arranges' our life!

Let's go forth, and do what we have to! I would love to quote great Bible verses at this juncture, but know only one (recognizing this as my weakness) and so I will leave with a request my friends ... Pray for me always to have the wisdon, strength, love, and passion to do Lord's work in whatever capacity He has emplaced me!
